This review is referring to: the fortune at the bottom of the pyramid, revised and updated 5th anniversary edition: eradicating poverty through profits (Hardcover) Unfortunately, the author is deceased. I have always a candidate for Nobel Prize concerned. I am angry against Amazon for not more comments from past - editions have new readers are invited to consult the old editions of all books if they wish to take advantage of some of the extraordinary material provided by recent reviewers. I will not reproduce these other reviews - they are worth finding.

This book review should be read in conjunction with my review of Stuart Hart capitalism at the crossroads: Strategies Next Generation business for a post-crisis world (3rd edition) that points to several other books, and the book of Kenichi Ohmae, the next global stage: challenges and opportunities in our world without borders (Paperback) all three are published by Wharton School Publishing, which impressed me enormously with its offers gifted. Here is the calculation that I was surprised to not see in the book: the best billion people focusing on business are worth less than a trillion dollars in potential sales.

The bottom of four billion, with less than $1,000 per year in disposable income, are worth four billion dollars in potential sales. In combination, Prahalad and Hart clearly show that business suffers same pathologies than the Central Intelligence Agency and other jurisdictions: they are in a rut. I shall conclude by pointing out that I believe this author deserves the Nobel Prize for peace. As the U.S. Department of Defense is now discovering, its 500 billion dollars a year budget is spent on a useful heavy metal military only 10% of the time. Stabilizization and reconstruction are a much more constructive form of national defence, because if we do not solve poverty and instability around the world, it will inevitably have repercussions on the front of the House.

This author has presented the case of the most common meaning for the filming company to. It can be credited to a paradigm shift, the changes that Kuhn says arrive too rarely, but when they come, they change the world. It can take years to see this engineering implemented in the real world, but it has, without doubt, changed the world for the better with this book, and make global prosperity a possibility. NOTE: This book comes with a DVD which is a special value to him alone. Wharton Publishing really delivered a one-two intellectual punch, first with the book, and then with the DVD which a presentation like short introduction by the author,. and then a series of 2-4 minutes multi-media of snapshots of various case studies and "faces of poverty".

I am really impressed I got it Wharton MBA worked for me before (but is please note, it was Michigan MBA who has excelled in the work that I am reviewed (by examining OSS.Net and how to take it to the next level, but the work reflected in these case studies and by the author as a manager of the intelligences budding took my respect to Michagan (Wharton) to a whole new level.)) Note: Although this book is unique, there are several other books that gave me enormous hope, and I list them below [my other eight admitted links - for a much wider collection organized collections of journals, visit Phi Beta Iota the public Intelligence blog page books (all comments, it bring back us to their respective pages Amazon): one of many: VISA and the rise of Chaordic Organization democracy Edge: choosing to save our country by bringing democracy to life escape the Matrix]: how we the people can change the world the Tao of democracy: using Co-Intelligence to create a world that works for all infinite wealth: A new world of collaboration and abundance in the knowledge age the wealth of networks: how social production transforms markets and freedom the wealth of knowledge: intellectual capital and the 21st century organization revolutionary wealth: How it is created and how it will change our lives best wishes to all, Robert David Steele Vivas Open Source any manifest: transparency, truth & Trust
